Seventy years ago, the Ffestiniog Railway re-opened as a passenger railway. Two hundred years ago, the Stockton & Darlington Railway operated the first proper passenger train. The occasions were marked over the summer solstice with three days full of steam trains along the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland lines in northwest Wales.

A twice daily Amtrak service connecting western Vermont to New York City. The route passes Middlebury southbound at 10:41am and northbound at 8:45pm each day.

An optimistically ambitious project to photograph 78 towns across two continents. Vermont, as with the rest of New England, has a large collection of towns named directly after English towns. This is an ongoing attempt to visually catalog and summarize the differences in each pair of towns.
